Garden
Palazzola’s beautiful gardens, laid out in the traditional Italian style, are a delightful place to spend a minute or an hour. Walk through the gardens, enjoy the spectacular views across Lago Albano, or bring a book out and unwind.
Swimming pool
Our 25-metre swimming pool beckons to many guests from the moment they arrive. During the long, lazy days of summer, come and sunbathe or enjoy a leisurely swim. The pool bar ‘La dolce vita’ is open during the summer period. The pool is open from May to October.
Tennis & volleyball courts
The tennis court sits above the gardens, and has recently been refurbished. Beside the tennis court, there is a field available for ball games of all kinds. Meanwhile, the volleyball court next to the pool is available for all guests to enjoy.
Nearby walks
Enjoy ever-changing views of the lake by walking through the woods to Albano or Castel Gandolfo in about 45–60 minutes. Apart from the final stretch, this easy walk is free from traffic. Albano has shops, bars, ATMs, a post office, and a supermarket. The path around Lago Albano provides an opportunity for a longer walk: access is via the tennis court and playing-field. You can also dip your toes in the cool waters of the lake! Other localities in moderate walking distance include Rocca di Papa and Nemi, which has its own lake, and is renowned for the delicious alpine strawberries (fragolini) which grow along the lake shore.
Games room
In the Hume Room, you can play pool or table tennis: it is particularly popular in the cooler months! There are also various board games available for guests’ use.
